18 October ASSISTance: September 2018 October 18, 2018By ASSIST SAA General assistance, general, news 0 Please read on for general updates and news from ASSIST staff for September 2018: General Updates Help E-mail – ASSIST Staff continue to monitor the help@assist.org e-mail on a regular basis. This e-mail was established for Public Site users to easily ask questions. Articulation Officers should still refer questions to their assigned Articulation Specialists. Public Site Launch Date Announced - May 2019. Course Transferability Tool Release – The Course Transferability Tool website was created as a temporary measure until the public site is released in May 2019. This site will display all community college course transferability lists (CSU Transferability, CSU GE, CSU AI, IGETC, UC Transferability, UC Eligibility) for academic year 2017-2018 and beyond. Articulation agreements (department, major, or general education) will not be included here but will be part of the new ASSIST public site release. The Course Transferability Tool will be released this December, 2018. For more information about the differences between the temporary Course Transferability Tool and the new ASSIST public site, please click here: Course Transferability Tool Website Versus the New ASSIST Website Legacy ASSIST Public Website – The messaging on the legacy ASSIST website has been updated to include the new public site release date. In addition, links are provided to access updated 2017-18 and 2018-19 articulation information, provided by the CSU and UC systems. For Articulation Officers and Data Managing ASSIST Users User-specific communication will continue to be delivered via the ASSIST AO listservs, while general updates will be provided here. Updated Resources - CCC AO User Guide and handouts were updated on the Resources tab of the ASSIST Resource Center. CSU and UC AO User Guide and handouts will be updated in October. Cross-listing is on hold – Please send all cross-listing requests to your assigned Articulation Specialist. Clear Browser Cache – Just a reminder that with ongoing development, it is important that users clear out the browser cache and data any time new code is pushed into the production environment. Batch Outline Upload “continue” button fixed - CCC AO users can now schedule a batch outline upload using the “More…” menu (Courses tab). Course Reactivations – This functionality is currently under development. We will e-mail AOs when users are able to resume reactivating courses. Department “edits” – Due to different issues associated with the “edit” department functionality, this menu option has been removed. Please see the specific e-mail sent out with additional information regarding how to edit departments without the “edit” menu option. Elimination of the “default” term upon login to the Curriculum Area – users must now select the specific term to work in and press 'go' when navigating to a new tab within the Curriculum Area.
